public comment on federal register of 8/9/06 vol 71 #153 pg 45444 usda aphis 9 cfr part 98 docket 2006 0120 importing goat and sheep semen into the u.s. ban all imports of all goat/sheep/cow an dother animal semen into the united states. we do not need or want other countries disease problems. it is far too easy for bribed vets in other countries (as well as this country) to issue paper certificates with n omeaning or truth. we know such unlawful activity exists. this is the ugly thing that happens when the agency appointed over animal health is in fact run by agribusiness, which makes rules based on profiteering from animal abuse, and which has no real concern over the health of ameican citizens, just the profits of a specific industry. this is special industry regulation, and there is no concern in this agency for the health of the american people. we need to transfer all regulation of animal health to a health agency, not to an agency devoted to animal profiteering.
