This is comment on Proposed Rule

Table Saw Blade Contact Injuries

View Comment

Requiring this type of safety on every table saw is over reaching and unneccessary. I taught woodworking at the high school level successfully with a standard guard over the blade. Having a saw on the market with this system is a great option, but legislation to require it on every machine is Orwellian. What are you going to require next? Is there a plan to do the same thing to circular saws and hand held grinders? Do the common sense thing and allow the public to buy what is necessary for peace of mind in this arena. Thank you, Kevin
