Our country is facing an obesity epidemic. As a physician I see the repercussions on a daily basis, larger and larger patients with increasing comorbidities, diabetes, hypertension, sleep apnea, ect. Lorcaserin offers real hope to both physicians and patients alike. This medication has been extensively tested and is both safe, effective and desperately needed. I urge the DEA to finalize your decision as soon as possible. Physicians and patients need access to this medication, time is of the essence.
