I am appalled by the fact that I read about this proposal through an article in Navy Times minutes after I read an article that John McCain is proposing to disallow military retirees the option for Tricare Prime in order to assist in the needed DOD "cut backs". Tricare Prime was referred to in the article as the "Cheaper" form of health care. I am a current Navy retiree and have chosen to remain healthy even in my retirement years, so I could have the option of choosing the "Cheaper" health care choice. Do I or any other current/future retiree deserve to be "forced" to pay for the higher priced health care option because we have military service members who cant stop smoking or chewing? I think not!!!
