I think the FAA has made great strides in catching up with the many other countries in which pilots are allowed to fly while on many different sorts of medications for mental disorders. These other countries do not have any more aviation accidents than America does, and thus I think this change is warranted and I admire the FAA's policy change. Maybe some day, after they conclude that this change does not significantly affect aviation safety, the FAA will consider allowing pilots on other various medications for other disorders (ie. anxiety, OCD etc.) to receive their medical.
Many thanks to all those who allowed this great change in policy.
