SB 767-28-0034 revision 3, installation of a second crossfeed valve, was added as the concurrent requirement of SB 767-28A0085, revision 2 in the paragraph (j) of the proposed AD. JAL believes that a second crossfeed valve does not have a direct relationship with the electrical fault or uncommanded dry operation of the main tank boost pumps and center auxiliary tank override and jettison pumps, and is not possible source of ignition in a fuel tank.
Boeing has presented a vision that SB 767-28A0085, revision 2 will be revised to include the new wiring change for airplanes that have not incorporated SB 767-28-0034 revision 3.
JAL would like to request to postpone the issue of the AD until SB 767-28A0085 next revision will be released.
