Air France CFM56 Products Engineering Manager asks to limit this FAA AD 2012-1114 to the same effectivity as of CFM 5A SB73-0182 rev 8 or CFM 5B SB73-0122 rev 8 which is "All CFM56-5B series engines with commonwealth of independent states (CIS) fuels or fuel additives which are uploaded 50 percent to 100 percent of the time based on any 1 year average, since last hydromechanical unit (HMU) shop visit, are affected by this Service Bulletin".
That is to say : HMU used on engines operated with less than 50% TS-1 fuel on a 1 year average must not be concerned.
If it is not possible, Air France CFM56 Products Engineering Manager asks to limit this FAA AD 2012-114 to operators registered in Commonwealth of Independent States as EASA AD 2012-0123 is.
