Details Information

Abstract: The Federal Aviation Administration proposes to amend the airworthiness standards for transport category airplanes concerning powerplant installations. Specifically, the proposed rule would affect the standards applicable to thrust or power augmentation systems; fuel filling points; designated fire zones; and powerplant instruments. Adopting this proposal would eliminate regulatory differences between the airworthiness standards of the U.S. and the Joint Aviation Requirements of Europe, without affecting current industry design practices.
