It is imperative that these small surviving populations be given habitat to continue. Salamanders, fish and frogs are all sensitive and need to be preserved so that we are able to determine how best to coexist with them. Sacrificing some areas of potential development may be needed so that future generations may enjoy the remaining "wild' spots. And who knows what science will be able to make use of in the future...
