In this notice, TTB proposes the establishment of the 3,800 square-mile "Wisconsin Ledge" American viticultural area in Door, Kewaunee, Manitowoc, Sheboygan, Ozaukee, Washington, Dodge, Fond du Lac, Calumet, Outagamie, and Brown counties in northeast Wisconsin. TTB proposes this action in response to a petition from a local wine industry member. TTB designates viticultural areas to allow vintners to better describe the origin of their wines and to allow consumers to better identify wines they may purchase.
